Welcome to the Official website of the Norton Fire-Rescue Department. The department provides Emergency Ambulance Transports with Advanced Life Support, Fire Suppression, Rescue, Fire Prevention, Inspections, Plan Review and Code Enforcement to our Community. In addition, the department has several specialty divisions to provide expanded services. These include Fire Investigation, Public Education, Dive Operations, and Technical Rescue. The Department also participates in Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) in a partnership with Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

The Norton Fire Department operates currently with 44 personnel out of 2 stations – Station 1 (Chartley) and Station 2 (HQ’s). This personnel includes 32 FF/Paramedics and 10 FF/EMT’s. The department is broken up into 4 Shifts. Each shift has a Captain as the Shift Commander at HQ’s, a Lieutenant as the Company Officer at Station 1, and 7 Firefighters. Command Staff at HQ’s consists of the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief of Fire Prevention, and Deputy Fire Chief of Operations along with an Administrative Assistant.

The fleet at Norton Fire Department consists of 4 Class A Pumpers, 1 Ladder Truck, 3 ALS Ambulances, 1 Shift Commander Vehicle, 1 Brush Truck, 1 Dive Operations Truck, 1 Technical Rescue Truck, 2 Boats, and 1 Hovercraft
