- We handle approximately 4,000 calls for service annually
- Our staffing consists of:
- 1 Chief
- 2 Deputy Chiefs
- 24 hours shifts: 1 on / 1 off / 1 on / 5 off
- 4 Captains

Safety
- The Norton Fire-Rescue Department utilizes technologically advanced structural firefighting gear
- Each member has their own portable radio, flashlight, thermal image camera and electrical current tester
- Fire apparatus and ladders are tested and serviced in accordance with NFPA
- Bloodborne Pathogen resistant EMS coats issued to every member
- Comprehensive Fire, EMS and Driver training programs
- Hydroxocobalamin Cyanide antidote on each Rescue for our Firefighters
- Cancer prevention initiatives:
- Gear washers and driers in-house so gear can frequently be cleaned
- Spare gear for members, including hoods and gloves so you don’t have to wait to wash gear
- Bladder cancer screening done in house
- State of the art foam without carcinogens

- Full gym/fitness facility in house available for member use on or off duty
